Vanessa Hudgens 'Identified'

Her newest cd, along with the hit "Sneakernight",
has been a success, with tweens and teen girls,

and i must admit, it's not bad, but the so-called hit "Sneakernight", is actually my least favorite song on the entire album.

but i will look at some songs,

-First Bad Habit, i think it has a great beat, nothing suggestive in the lyrics of this one, and it's catchy,
-Hook It Up,
its by Rock Mafia, and the lyrics have a bit...
"...
You got the money, money
She's got the hottie body
We want to party, party
Hook it on up (hook it up)
You pick the song they're playing
She keeps anticipating
All the while the Dj's saying
Hook it on up (hook it up)..."

that Kinda sorta bugged me, and when i looked it up, that is the CHORUS, so you hear it about 4 times...not cool
here is the beginning..
"
...Cause I'm tired of all the boys
Who don't like to dance
And if you don't like to dance
You don't stand a chance
So why you standing in the corner
With your arms all folded?
When you know that she's ready to dance
Right up on ya..."
NO WAY, would i let my daughter listen to that, so, if you have Itunes or something, don't buy that song...
-Sneakernight
the "
Basically what we're gonna do is dance"
a million times gets annoying, but other than that, its an ok song, the video is a bit much, but not bad
-Amazed,
my absolute favorite song,
the Lil'Mama part is kinda worrying it sounds like she keeps saying the f-word, throughout the chorus, but it's really just clicks
'
Oh, get, oh
Oh, oh
Oh, Get, oh
Oh, oh
Oh, get, oh
Oh, oh
Oh, Get, oh
Oh, oh'
it just sounds like quick f-words, but other than that, it's a good song,
-Don't Leave,
it's kinda sad, and it gave me goosebumps listening to it,
nothing bad in it either, its great, with a good beat and all.
-Party on the Moon,
it's short but pretty good,
"
On the moon, whoa, whoa
Go astrologic
Meteor, Stop it, whoa, yea
It's like a rocket, rocket
You can't stop it, stop it
Once we blast off
Were on a lunar mission
This isn't science fiction
Leave your troubles on Earth
Take my hand
We're flying to space
We're defying gravity
Somewhere in the galaxy
There's a party on the moon
And you're invited
Bring your friends too
So excited
We're defying gravity
Somewhere in the galaxy
There's a party on the moon
And you're invited
Bring your friends too
Yeah, yea
Party on the moon (party on the moon)
Is anybody out there?
Oh, start racing
Fast stars are blazing
On the moon, whoa, whoa
I see major hotties
So beam me up scotty
Whoa, yeah
It's like a rocket, rocket
You can't stop it, stop it
Once we blast off
You got a hundred problems
And I know how to solve them
Leave your troubles on Earth
Take my hand
We're flying to space
We're defying gravity
Somewhere in the galaxy
Take my hand
We're gonna escape
We're defying gravity
Somewhere in the galaxy
There's a party on the moon
And you're invited
Bring your friends too
So excited
We're defying gravity
Somewhere in the galaxy
There's a party on the moon
And you're invited
Bring your friends too
It's so exciting"

anyway, i hope you will take the time to check it out!

Iron Man

Well,

i recently saw it, as aforementioned...

and it is one of the few comics about a self made hero,

i.e.

he doesn't have superpowers, like Superman, or Spiderman,

but is much like Batman, or Nick Fury, whose power, really is slow aging, not anything to help such as extreme strength, or flying

but i would recommend for children/teens, ABOVE the age of 10 or so, but defiantly,

NOT UNDER 10,

there were a few rugrats there, who may not have been paying attention, but were still waaaaaay too young to be at a PG-13 movie,

but it depends, maybe you think your 10 yo is mature enough, so be it.

but it was violent, and bloody to a point, but you can only go so far with pg13, like i said...

anyhoo,
it was pretty good, i think better than.....

dare i say...........

*coughBatmancough*

the Dark Knight that is...

the first was good,
but that's another review.... :D

anyway, go see it for sure with 13+ kids!

enjoy!

Good Girl Gone Bad: Rihanna

Well what can I say??

the title says it all, but i will try....

-Umbrella, well as in most of her songs, it is suggestive from the first lines, but also the video would be better in a Gentlemen's club, but it is catchy, and i suppose the regular version is somewhat better than the clean one, i dunno why there even is a clean one, seeing as there is no language in it, but still....
"
No clouds in my stones
Let it rain, I hydroplane in the bank
Coming down with the Dow Jones
When the clouds come we gone, we Rocafella
We fly higher than weather
And G5’s are better, You know me,
an anticipation, for precipitation. Stacked chips for the rainy day
Jay, Rain Man is back with little Miss Sunshine
Rihanna where you at?
[Rihanna]
You have my heart
And we'll never be worlds apart
May be in magazines
But you'll still be my star
Baby cause in the dark
You can't see shiny cars
And that's when you need me there
With you I'll always share
Because
[Chorus]
When the sun shines, we’ll shine together
Told you I'll be here forever
Said I'll always be a friend
Took an oath I'ma stick it out till the end
Now that it's raining more than ever
Know that we'll still have each other
You can stand under my umbrella
You can stand under my umbrella
(Ella ella eh eh eh)
Under my umbrella
Under my umbrella
Under my umbrella
These fancy things, will never come in between
You're part of my entity, here for Infinity
When the war has took it's part
When the world has dealt it's cards
If the hand is hard, together we'll mend your heart"

-Push Up On me,

yeah weird title, and baaaaad song, the title says it all again, but also the lyrics, here is a taste, so you know to avoid it
"...
The way that you stare, starts a fire in me Come up to my room you sexy little thing And let's play a game, I won't be a tease I'll show you the boom, my sexy little thing..."
aand...."...
[Chorus:]
I wish you would push up on me
I wish you would push up on me
I wish you would light me up and say you want me
push up on me..."

yeeaah basically reading the lyrics makes you sick right?? me too, and i had to right this... :b
but it gets worse
"....
Baby there ain't nothing to it
Baby, who you think you're fooling?
You wanna come get me outta my dress..."
nuff said....

-Don't stop the Music,
the line between
dancing and intercourse is a thin one,
"
It's getting late
I'm making my way over to my favourite place
I gotta get my body moving
Shake the stress away
I wasn't looking for nobody when you looked my way
Possible candidate, yeah
Who knew
That you'd be up in here looking like you do
You're making staying over here, impossible
Baby, I must say your aura is incredible
If you don't have to go, don't

Do you know what you started?
I just came here to party
But now we're rocking on the dance floor, actin' naughty
Your hands around my waist
Just let the music play
We're hand in hand, chest to chest and now we're face to face
[CHORUS]
I wanna take you away
Let's escape into the music, DJ let it play
I just can't refuse it
Like the way you do this
Keep on rockin' to it
Please don't stop the, please don't stop the music
I wanna take you away
Let's escape into the music, DJ let it play
I just can't refuse it
Like the way you do this
Keep on rockin' to it
Please don't stop the, please don't stop the
Please don't stop the music
what more can i say??

-Breakin' dishes
just read
"
I don't know who you think I am

He been gone since 3.30 (3.30)
Been coming home lately at 3.30 (3.30)
I'm super cool, I've been a fool
But now I'm hot and baby you're gonna get it
Now I ain't trippin', I, I ain't twisted
I ain't demented, well just a little bit (huh)
I'm kicking a--, I'm taking names
I'm on a flame, don't come home babe

[CHORUS]
I'm breakin' dishes up in here
All night (uh huh)
I ain't gonna stop until I see police lights (uh huh)
I'm a fight a man (tonight)
I'm a fight a man (tonight)
I'm a fight a man
A man, on a m-a-a-a-aan
A man, a man, on a m-a-a-a-aan
Oh

I'm still waiting, come through the door
I'm killing time and I'm bleaching ya clothes
I'm roasting marshmallows on the fire
And what I'm burning, is your attire
I'm getting restless, I'm getting tested
And I can't believe hes always out every night and never checks in
Is he cheating? Man I don't know
I'm looking round for something else to throw"

Honestly, what more can i say??

AVOID LIKE THE PLAUGE!!!!

THANKS ya'll

CD review: Dignity Hilary Duff

Hilary Duff, better known to some as Lizzie McGuire, but now is a pop singer equally as major as Britney Spears, minus the raunchy clothes and suggestive language in her music, here is Amazon's take, with minor edits,
"Dignity isn't for sale. It comes from within. Hilary Duff has always carried herself with dignity, from her 2001 TV debut starring in "Lizzy McGuire," through big screen hits like "Cinderella Story" and "Cheaper by the Dozen," to her career as a multi-platinum recording artist, with more than 13 million albums sold to date. Now Hilary brings her customary class and splash to her new Hollywood Records CD "Dignity. At 20, Hilary has matured into a sophisticated singer and songwriter. Hilary has co-written all the songs on 'Dignity', always aiming high and ultimately creating an album of depth and consequence. To realize her vision for the new CD, she teamed with Grammy-Award winning Kara Dioguardi, as well as top producer/songwriters like Chico Bennett & Richard Vission, Tim & Bob, Vada Nobles, Rhett Lawrence. In the title track, she talks about her experiences and observations of living in Los Angeles ("Where's your dignity/I think you lost it in the Hollywood Hills"). "Danger" explores the suspect advances of an older man, while "With Love" turns the world's most common song topic upside down. ("I can take your honesty/All your words weigh heavily/I'm listening to you all the time"). The song 'Stranger' reveals a relationship that is picture perfect in public, but cold behind closed doors. With every track, Hilary probes life and love more intensely, and with more vulnerability than she has before."

so to business, my favorite songs reviewed below....

Dignity, Hilary's newest cd, but she may have a new one this fall, but here goes...

-Stranger
a song about her estranged relationship with ex-boyfriend Joel Madden, and how he is sweet in public, but ignores her at home, and it has a catchy beat, and is pretty good,

-Dignity, the song that the album is titled for, and is supposedly about her odd friend/enemy Nicole Richie, who ended up 'stealing' her boyfriend, then getting pregnant with him too... but that's another story... it is okaaaay, but no the best song on the album,

-With Love, aah yes, the song with the first racy video, then Stranger picked up the slack as well, with her living with her 'boyfriend' in it, but in With Love, i think she mostly talks about sticking with her boyfriend, no matter what, if, at the end of the day, he still shows her his love...

-Danger, it is mostly about her having feelings for an older man, a waaaaay older man, she mentions the year '74, but she was born in '88, so, yeah a biiiit older, and how she knows its wrong, but she can't resist,

-Happy, is about her getting over a bad relationship with a boyfriend, and how she knows he may not happy with it, but how she forgives him, and hopes he moves on,

-Play with Fire,
here she basically tells her ex, that, he can love her, or pretend to, as much as he wants, but she is not falling for his lies anymore, and how she has someone that really loves her, and keeps her safe, and is the only one who will play with fire, aka her...

thanks for reading,

-AAG
