well..

breifly,
if possible, i would like to review a cd,

if its all right,

i haven't done any kind of review in a while, with all the junk going on, so here goes....

Demi Lovato's Here We Go Again:

1. Here We Go Again: its a great start to a pretty good album, very Paramore-esc, a friend who was over once asked me if it was Paramore, this was without knowing at all who or what it was, i was slightly surprised. But anyway, the song is basically about a girl in love with a guy who she really doesn't know why she keeps giving him a second chance, its really a great song, and the video is very cute.
2. Solo: a play on 'So Low', which she is feeling after her man decides to let her go, she's gonna go 'solo' but she isn't happy about it.
3. U got Nothin' On Me: this song starts out annoying, esp. the beginning, the constant montra of 'U got nothing on me' over an over, but getting past all that, the song talks about a guy she is with who can't really say he loves just her, and constantly catches other girls eyes.
4. Falling Over Me: she's at a party and sees this guy, and wants to talk to him, and imagines that he's the one falling for her, eventually there's a happy ending.
5. Quiet: ah yes, my least favorite song on this otherwise perfect album, its rather annoying, the title suggests the truth, it goes back and forth from calm to rocky, and frankly needs to choose one or the other. But basically its about her and this guy, who are alone but really are too quiet, and she wishes he would say something, or kiss her, just anything other than this awful silence.
6. Catch Me: it's very reminding of 'Don't Forget' the title track from her first album, but its rather about this guy she likes, but she doesn't want to like, even though he makes her smile in her dreams and laughing when she speaks, she doesn't want him to 'catch her', but eventually, she gives in to love, and tells him to 'go ahead and catch me.' It continues slowly like Don't Forget, but during the end goes all rocky, much like the Jonas Brothers, 'Lovebug.'
7. Everytime You Lie: she knows she isn't in love with this guy, and the only reason they are still together is, well there's no reason, apparently he is still in love with someone else, and 'the truth is all that' she can 'hear, everytime you lie.' She seems unfazed by this, and doesn't sing of revenge, just a parting, and she doesn't seem upset, and merely wants to wait for a 'gentleman.'
8. Got Dynamite: My absolute fave song of the whole album, its very catchy, she is basically teasing a guy, seeing if he can break down her walls, and wants him to light the fuse, he might need dynamite, if he's not getting it, he might be a waste of time.
9. Stop The World: this was co-written as sung with the JB's very own Nick J. The truth is, you really don't hear him, so its not overpowering like i was afraid it would be, its about a girl and a guy wanting to stop the world to be alone, and how life is kind of overwhelming their relationship.
10. World of Chances: starts out with a 'Keep Your Mind Wide Open' intro, but is sooo different its not funny. Its about a girl whose man has left, and how she's moved on, and when he changes his mind, he'll discover that her number's changed, and its too late, after a world of chances, he never took one.
11. Remember December: its another of my least fave songs, its kind of a reminiscent song, she wants her guy to remember back when they were in love, but now they have grown apart a bit, and she knows that they need to rekindle their love, because when they are 'together, fire melts the ice' between them.
12. Everything You're Not: this is a break-up song, she wants someone else who is everything he's not, and she wants freedom, she also wants a gentleman who treats her like a queen, and is done, and has torn the pages out from their 'relationship.'
13. Gift of a Friend: this is the newest single, and was featured in the new Tinkerbell movie, and had a video on Disney Channel, (i saw it on Youtube tho.) its a great song, about how friends help you through highs and the lows.
14. So Far So Great: this song is pretty ok, it's the theme from her Tv Show 'Sonny with A Chance' a pretty mediocre show, but the song talks about putting up with new found fame, and not feeling overwhelmed by the rush of power/fame.

all in all an okay album, some great, some should've been left off the cd.

as always
